My husband got me a new laptop for Christmas and I am so excited to start using it. He is always really thoughtful when it comes to gifts, but this was more than I expected this year since money is tight. I know he worked hard to keep it a secret and get me just what I wanted, so it means a lot to me. I feel a little guilty that I didn’t get him something better, but I was working on the oldest and slowest computer before this, so it is going to be awesome to have a new computer that actually works. This song played on my mind when my uncle started talking about bobcats. He said he had found some bobcats for sale when he went to the nearby city. And all along I thought he was talking about bobcats... you know those furry animals that look like pet cats on hormones. But the moment he mentioned something about digging dirt and some mechanical stuff I can't remember, that's when I knew we're not on the same page. He was actually talking about bobcat skid loaders - the ones you use to dig and move dirt and other materials. And here I was, imagining a fierce but cuddly animal. ;)

Two more months to go and we are moving in to our brand new townhome! Geez I can't wait! Just thinking about it got me sleepless for days. LOL! I can't wait to see the final look and layout. We were very lucky because they were still in the process of building it when we made our offer so we got to choose the colors, flooring, as well as the upgrades for the kitchen appliances. For the colors, we chose the same color motif they used on the model home. We also opted for a quick step laminate flooring for the kitchen and living area. And for the bathroom, we had it upgraded by using tiles instead of vinyl flooring. We also upgraded the kitchen appliances to stainless steel. By the way, here's some pictures of the model home to give you an idea on what our home sweet home will look like once its done! :)

I got invited to my friend's product launching two weeks ago and I must say she did very well! You can tell that she came well prepared and that a lot of thought and planning has been done to effectively showcase her arts and crafts starting with her table top trade show display. The bold colors she used on her display made it a real head-turner. I also liked how she laid out her products. It's very easy on the eyes and each piece was carefully labeled and tagged so you'll know upfront what it's all about and how much it costs. I even bought one of her handmade brooch not just because I want to show her my support but because I really love it! What a party! My friend Daniela just opened her very own restaurant and we got invited for the grand opening. She served cocktail drinks and a sampler of her menu. And I tell you, it's delish! Today is such a happy day for me. Why you ask? Well, let's just say I'm commemorating the day my mom gave birth to me. Hehe! That's right, TODAY is my natal day! I was talking to a friend of mine recently who is a mother of three. Her husband works and she is a teacher.
